Childrens Liturgy of The Word

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven," says the Lord; "whoever eats this bread will live forever."

Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Come Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.
V. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Jesus said to his disciples:
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower.
He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit,
and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit.
You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.
Remain in me, as I remain in you.

The stone rejected by the builders has become the cornerstone.  Ps 118

You cannot teach something that you know nothing about.  You cannot convince someone of the truth of Jesus' Gospel if you do not know and accept that truth yourself.  You cannot speak for Jesus if you do not know Jesus.  And you do not truly know Jesus if you do not keep His commandments.  You cannot know and keep His commandments if you do not know and understand His Gospel.

His mercy endures forever.

                         My strength and my courage is the LORD

                                                             This is the day the LORD has made;
                                                                   let us be glad and rejoice in it.

"I am the resurrection and the life;
whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.
Do you believe this?"  John 11:25-26

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast."  Eph 2:4-10

The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
